From Humble Beginnings...

In 1998, Annetta Vickers, President and CEO of T.A.B. Company, Inc., walked into the Saint Louis Enterprise Center, flicked the light switch to Suite 106 and gave life to her own company. After many years of being a Senior Environmental Engineer for the McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Corporation, now a part of Boeing Company, Vickers found herself victim to corporate mergers and downsizing and was laid off. Faced with ever-changing economic factors, two teenage mouths to feed, and insurmountable ambition, she called on her office and industrial product expertise and sought a market for distribution. From then to now and looking to the future, through courage and perseverance, one woman has cultivated a thriving and successful distribution business from very humble beginnings to a multi-million dollar corporation with international connections.

T.A.B. is a very diverse Minority and Women owned distributor of office, maintenance, industrial and construction supplies and equipment. T.A.B., also has a full service digital video and DVD/CD duplication division known as Vickers Productions which provides exceptional services in the US and Ghana (West Africa.)

Continually building on a solid network of business associates and suppliers, Vickers contributes her growing success to her network of friends, family, staff and peers. T.A.B., after all, stands for Tabitha, Annetta and Bill, the namesake of Vickers herself and her children. There is an undeniable feeling of family and welcome whenever one enters the offices of TAB, and this feeling is always bolstered by Vickers' charm and megawatt smile. It is evident in her dynamic energy that prosperity of all kinds surrounds this tireless, enterprising businesswoman.

Ms. Vickers holds a Masters in Global Management from Phoenix University and a BA in Business from Webster University.  She has also completed the Minority Business Executive Program from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth; as well as the NMSDC Advanced Management Education Program at Kellogg’s School of Management; Basic Supply Chain Management from St. Louis University; Construction Management Training Program from Washington University and Export Fellows Program from Webster University. 

However, Vickers greatest reward is the knowledge that she has proven to herself that she can do it. On entrepreneurial success Vickers states, "What I like best about being an entrepreneur is the fact that you are taking control of your own destiny. The sky is the limit, so stay focused. For me, success is not measured by the size of your workforce or how much money you make, but whether your business is meeting the financial demands of both your lifestyle and career goals."

Today you can find president Vickers moving between the offices of her new building located at 5561 Enright Avenue. The new headquarters for T.A.B. Company, Inc. is quite a difference from the one room, two hundred (200) square foot suite where it all began. With well over ten thousand (10,000) square feet of office and warehouse space, one can certainly ascertain that the momentum for growth Vickers has maintained is in no way slowing.

In 2006, Ms Vickers was the Mistress of Ceremony of a program for former Senator Jim Talent with President George W. Bush as the guest speaker. It was truly an honor for her.
